2009 Nutmeg Book Award Winner Douglas Evans

Writer and educator, Douglas Evans, author of the 2009 Nutmeg Children's Book Award winner "MVP" (Magellan Voyage Project) will visit the library to speak and sign books. Evans considers teaching school children "the noblest profession a person can have."
He has traveled to over 120 countries where he has gathered material for his stories.
The students at the Simsbury schools selected "MVP" as their favorite book among the 2009 nominees.
